Many multinational companies have implemented lean methodology, made their employees start working with lean tools and resulted significant financial benefits. How about the small and medium size companies? What is the size or the headcount of a company where lean could be considered to start implementing beneficial?
Implementing lean
The answer: Any company regardless its size or headcount can start implementing lean and expect financial benefits. Lean is an approach, a company managing philosophy where all employees, every day, in all processes changes some to be more productive than before. Obviously a small company with 5 employees and few processes can achieve less productivity increase than a big company with 300 employees and plenty of processes. However in the ratio of small benefits in case a small company can be more vital than in case of a big company. Therefore I encourage all companies regardless its size and headcounts to get their leaders understand and know lean and start implementing it in their companies.
