Lean approach and tools are not just for fun. Management usually expecting some financial benefit by implementing lean. Either to increase productivity or reduce cost. Besides the theoretical and practical trainings I also take project manager / Interim roles and responsibilities in certain projects. These projects should be personally discussed in details. This was a 3-month long project that included the followings:
- Design of production area and layout including material flows
- Identify the necessary headcount and organization structure.
- Set standard operation procedures, implement 5S and visual management tools on the shopfloor
- Increase production capacity by 10%.
I managed a relocation project of a complete factory from Szigetszentmiklós to Érd. This relocation included the production lines, warehouses, social blocks, IT infrastructure. The relocation took place parallel with the daily operation for months in different phases as in accordance with automotive standards as TIER1 supplier the company should have necessary safety stock before production move and get customer approvals after production line relocation.
